Fringe - I Might Be Edgar Allan Poe

Promethean Theatre, Sat Mar 15

David Hayward does a magnificent job of interpreting some of the works of Edgar Allen Poe as he plays a patient in a mental institution who believes that he may be the author, reincarnated into a new life. The script, by Dawson Nichols, cleverly gives a biography of Poe, as well as more intimate information on his life, thereby providing a hook on which to hang some of his writing. The Raven and The Tell-tale Heart were particularly well interpreted by Hayward. Darren Day’s lighting is most effective and director, Denise Hayward, has kept the tension and suspense running high.
